AI receptionist, missed-call text-back and follow-up on GoHighLevel. No lead waits, no lead is forgotten.

One system, not a list of services
Every channel we run sends its leads into the same GoHighLevel pipeline, where the AI answers, follows up and books. That is what you buy, whichever page you started on.
What we promise, in writing
Owners tell us the last vendor locked them in, kept their phone number, or handed the account to a junior. So we put these four in every proposal.
No auto-renew, no exit fees
Setup is a fixed project. Management is month to month after that. Cancel with 30 days notice and nothing renews behind your back.
You own everything
The GoHighLevel sub-account, the phone numbers, the ad accounts, the pixel and every lead stay in your name. Leave, and you keep them.
Reported by booked appointments
Not impressions, not ROAS screenshots. You see calls answered, appointments booked and shows, every week, in your own dashboard.
Built by the people you talk to
No junior handed 14 accounts. The engineers who scope your system on the call are the ones who build it and answer your messages.
What does an AI automation agency actually build for a business?
An AI automation agency builds the systems that respond to customers and move data between your tools without a person doing it by hand. For Skill Up Experts that means four things: an AI voice agent that answers calls, an AI chat agent on your website and WhatsApp, missed-call text-back, and automated follow-up that keeps working until a lead books or says no.
Which automation fixes which problem?
| Automation | The problem it solves | What changes for the business |
|---|---|---|
| AI voice agent (inbound) | Calls ring out after hours or during busy periods | Every call is answered, qualified and booked or routed, with a transcript in the CRM |
| Missed-call text-back | Callers who hit voicemail hang up and call a competitor | A text goes out within seconds asking how we can help, keeping the conversation alive |
| AI chat agent (web and WhatsApp) | Website visitors leave without asking their question | Questions answered instantly, contact details captured, appointment offered |
| Lead follow-up sequences | New leads go cold because nobody follows up the same day | SMS, email and WhatsApp follow-up over days, stopping automatically when the lead replies or books |
| Appointment reminders and rebooking | No-shows and unfilled slots | Reminders, confirmations, reschedule links and reactivation of past customers |
| Review and referral requests | Happy customers never leave a review | A timed request after the job or visit, routed to Google or the platform you choose |
Why do callers hang up on AI receptionists, and how do we avoid it?
Owners are blunt about this in the forums: the AI had a noticeable delay, it could not answer a specific question on a high-ticket call, an older customer knew it was a robot and hung up, or it booked into a separate calendar and the front desk had to re-key everything. Each of those is a build decision, not a law of nature.
- Specifics first: we script your top 30 real questions (pricing ranges, service area, insurance, what to do at 2 AM) before the agent takes a single call, and high-ticket callers get a warm transfer to a human.
- Human fallback: if the caller is not making progress after two turns, the agent offers a callback and texts the details, instead of looping.
- One calendar: bookings land in the calendar your team already uses through GoHighLevel, ServiceTitan, Jobber, Housecall Pro or your PMS where its API allows it, so nothing is typed twice.
- Low-latency voice models and no fake typing sounds. Callers are told it is an assistant if they ask.
What does a finished AI system look like from the inside?
The finished system is a set of GoHighLevel workflows, a configured voice or chat agent, and a dashboard that shows what happened. When a call comes in, the agent greets the caller by your business name, asks the qualifying questions you set, checks the calendar and books the slot. If the caller needs a human, the agent transfers the call or sends your team an alert with the summary.
Every conversation is logged against the contact. Your team opens one screen and sees the call transcript, the texts that went out, the appointment status and the next scheduled follow-up. Nothing lives in a separate AI tool that nobody checks.
- Agent scripts written from your real FAQs and objections
- Calendar, pipeline and tagging rules mapped to how you already work
- Escalation paths for emergencies, complaints and VIP customers
- Weekly report on calls answered, leads followed up and appointments booked
The platforms and tools behind every system
We build on these platforms every day. Each one is a real account we set up and manage for you, not a plug-in we resell.
Logos are trademarks of their owners and indicate the platforms we work on. Skill Up Experts is an independent agency, not affiliated with these companies.
How does the build process run?
Most AI automation systems go live within two to four weeks. Here is the sequence.
Strategy call
We map where enquiries come from, where they leak, and which automation pays back first. You leave with a written plan, not a pitch.
Script and workflow design
We write the agent’s questions, answers and escalation rules with you, then build the GoHighLevel workflows, calendars and pipelines around them.
Testing with real scenarios
We run the agent through the calls and messages your customers actually send, including the awkward ones, and fix every gap before launch.
Launch and tuning
The system goes live on your number and website. For the first month we review transcripts weekly and adjust wording, routing and timing.
Ongoing support
We monitor performance, add new automations as the business changes, and keep the agent current with your prices and services.
How is AI voice usage charged?
AI voice minutes on GoHighLevel are metered, not flat. Speech-to-speech models run at roughly $0.10 to $0.20 per minute, and the pipeline model runs at about $0.045 per minute for the engine plus a text-to-speech charge that depends on the voice you choose. We show you the exact rate for your configuration before launch and pass usage through transparently, so an agent that handles a thousand minutes a month is priced as such and not hidden inside a flat fee.

How does the automation connect to GoHighLevel?
GoHighLevel is the system of record for everything we build. The voice agent uses GoHighLevel’s phone numbers, the chat agent posts into the GoHighLevel conversations inbox, and every follow-up sequence is a GoHighLevel workflow you can open and read. If you already have a sub-account, we build inside it. If you do not, we set one up as part of the project.
Where do we build AI automation?
The mechanics are the same in each market, but the compliance and channel details differ. US builds follow TCPA rules for SMS consent and use a local US number.
Who is AI automation built for?
Any business that depends on enquiries, appointments and follow-up. These are the industries we build for most often.

What is related to ai automation?
- GoHighLevel setup is related to AI automation because every voice agent, text-back and reminder we build runs inside a GoHighLevel workflow.
- Meta ads is related to AI automation because Meta lead forms only pay off when the enquiry is answered within minutes, which the follow-up system does.
- Web development is related to AI automation because the website form and booking page are the first step of the same follow-up sequence.
- All services is the index of every channel and system we run, with a one-line definition of each.
- Calculators and resources are related to AI automation because the missed-call, no-show and cost-per-appointment calculators show what the system is worth before you build it.
AI automation questions we hear most
Will callers know they are speaking to an AI agent?
Yes, and they should. The agent introduces itself as your business’s virtual assistant, which keeps you within disclosure expectations in the US and sets the caller’s expectations. In practice most callers care about getting an answer and a booking, not who provided it. Anyone who asks for a person is transferred or called back.
What happens when the AI cannot answer a question?
It says so and hands off. The agent is given clear rules for what it may promise and what it must escalate. Out-of-scope questions trigger a transfer to your team during hours, or a callback request with a summary after hours. We review those handoffs weekly and add answers where a pattern appears.
Do I need to move my CRM to GoHighLevel?
For voice and chat agents, yes, because they rely on GoHighLevel’s phone numbers, calendars and inbox. If you run another CRM for other reasons we can sync contacts and appointments across, but the automation itself lives in GoHighLevel. We handle the migration as part of the setup.
How long until the system is live?
Two to four weeks for a typical build covering one voice agent, one chat agent, missed-call text-back and a follow-up sequence. Simpler builds such as text-back plus follow-up can be live within a week. Multi-location businesses or complex qualifying logic take longer, and we tell you that on the strategy call.
How much does AI automation cost?
There are three parts: your GoHighLevel subscription, metered AI voice minutes at roughly $0.10 to $0.20 per minute for speech-to-speech models, and our build and management fee. Chat, text-back and workflow automations have no per-minute cost. We quote the fee after the strategy call once we know the scope, and every cost is itemised.
Can the agent handle multiple languages?
Yes. We set the agent to detect the caller’s language or offer a choice at the start, and we test both paths before launch.
What about SMS and WhatsApp consent rules?
We build consent into the flow. In the US the workflows follow TCPA requirements for opt-in before marketing texts. You are responsible for your legal position, but the system is built so compliance is the default rather than an afterthought.
Who owns the workflows and agents after the build?
You do. Everything is built inside your GoHighLevel account, and you keep full admin access. If you stop working with us, the system keeps running and you can hand it to another team. We document every workflow so that is realistic, not just a promise.
Does it write appointments into Dentrix, Eaglesoft, ServiceTitan or Follow Up Boss?
ServiceTitan, Jobber, Housecall Pro and Follow Up Boss have booking APIs, so yes, the job or appointment is created in the tool your team uses. Dentrix and Eaglesoft do not allow outside calendars. There the agent holds the slot in GoHighLevel and your front desk confirms it into the PMS in one click, with the transcript attached. We tell you which case you are in before you sign.
What if the AI gets a question wrong?
It is not allowed to guess. Anything outside the approved answers becomes a callback request with the recording and transcript sent to you, and the caller is told when to expect a human. We review every escalation in the first month and add the missing answers, which is where most of the improvement happens.
